PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-cost organic EL element by an easy production process in which a substrate and a sealing case can be surely sealed and stable light emitting characteristics can be maintained for a long period. SOLUTION: An indicating part 2 consisting of a pair of electrodes 21, 22 and a light emitting layer 22 disposed between the electrodes is formed on a glass substrate 1, and a sealing case 3 of glass or the like is disposed to cover the outer surface of the indicating part 2. A Cr film as a heat generator 4 is applied between the edge part of the sealing case 3 and the substrate 1, and the Cr film is irradiated with YAG layer light. The sealing case 3 and the substrate 1 are fused and joined by the heat generated by the Cr film. |
