MAGNETORESISTIVE FILM WITH HIGH ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetoresistive film which exhibits a large magnetoresistance effect with an MR ratio of 3% or more at room temperature and which has a high electrical resistivity of 105μΩ.cm or more. SOLUTION: This magnetoresistive film with a high electricity ratio resistance is a nanogranular alloy thin film, in which magnetic granules of nanometer sizes are dispersed in an insulator matrix composed of a fluoride. The film exhibits a magnetoresistance ratio of 3% or more at room temperature and has an electrical resistivity of 105μΩ.cm or more.
