PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact dust meter for reducing a cost and a space required in front of the meter for maintenance work and the like. SOLUTION: This dust meter D is provided with two reels 1, 2, a sheet of filter paper 3 wound with its both ends held by the reels, 1, 2, a nozzle unit 5 jetting a sample to a measurement point 4 in the filter paper 3, a detector unit 6 measuring a dirt condition in the measurement point 4, and a box 7 housing these components. The two reels 1, 2 are arranged so that a straight line connecting the axial centers of the two reels 1, 2 together is tilted to the bottom face of the box 7, while the axial center direction of the two reels 1, 2 is set vertically to a front panel 13 in the box 7.
