METAL OXIDE PSEUDO-CAPACITOR

PURPOSE: A metal oxide pseudo-capacitor is provided to use an unexpensive metal such as aluminum which cannot be used in a conventional electrolyte, by using potassium sulfate as an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: An electrode is composed of metal oxide. An electrolyte contacts the metal oxide electrode, and is composed of a potassium sulfate aqueous solution which forms an electrical dual layer on the contact surface of the metal oxide electrode. The metal oxide electrode is ruthenium oxide or manganese oxide. A current collector made of metal is included in the metal oxide pseudo-capacitor.
