The bottom part of the collector has a cold water inlet (3). The used water is discharged via a pipe (2) in the uppermost part. The very bottom of the collector (1) has a combustion chamber (6) with burner (4) and flue-gas exhaust. The combustion chamber extends over the total cross-section of the collector and is confined within an externally ridged (7) wall made of good thermally conducting material. The combustion gases are conveyed by guides (9). The exhaust gas discharge (8) leads from the side of the combustion chamber and collector. The combustion chamber contains a heat exchanger connected to the heater by means of a forward and backward flow pipe.
