The invention relates to a manhole cover device with a support frame and manhole cover. The support frame comprises an opening which is defined laterally by internal walls and a casing and can be detachably connected to the manhole cover. The manhole cover comprises a cover with a transverse annular lip (5) on the edge of its under surface extending preferably all the way around or at least partially, which rests with its outer edges on the shoulder of the projection (10) of the cover when in a working position. At least one shank (3) is formed transverse to the cover on the inner edge of the lip, which has, on the outer side of its lower free end, an outward pointing wedge-shaped section, preferably with a tapered longitudinal profile. In a working position, the shank engages with the collar (12) by means of said section in an interference fit and/or the cover and collar are coupled to each other via screw connections. |
