PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption while receiving necessary signals out of navigation messages sent from a GPS satellite and ensuring necessary accuracy in a GPS receiving device suitable for portable use. SOLUTION: This GPS receiving device is provided with a GPS antenna 1; a frequency converting part 2 for converting the frequency of a GPS signal received by the GPS antenna 1; a bit selecting circuit 3 for receiving signals of plural bits outputted from the frequency converting part 2 and outputting signals of plural bits selected channel by channel; a correlator 4 for taking the correlation between the output from the bit selecting circuit 3 and dummy noise codes; and a central control device for computing a position upon receiving a signal from the correlator 4, and giving a command to the bit selecting circuit 3. A clock generating circuit for supplying a clock signal to the correlator 4, and a control circuit for controlling the clock generating circuit, are further provided, and clock frequency can be controlled by the central control device 6. |
