<p>A layer functioning to separate and comprising a crosslinked polyamide is formed in the presence of either (1) a carboxylic acid ester having a total carbon number of 8 or larger or (2) a carboxylic acid. Thus, a composite semipermeable membrane can be provided which has higher water permeability than conventional semipermeable membranes while retaining a high rejection.</p> |
