<p>A discharge lamp lighting device which is capable of downsizing, weight reduction and cost reduction of sockets. The discharge lamp lighting device comprises a power feed line for feeding power to the starting circuit of a discharge lamp, separate from a pair of output lines, for the discharge lamp lighting, output fed from the lighting circuit, wherein power is fed from the starting circuit through a power feed line, lamp socket auxiliary electrodes, outer peripheral electrodes, and output line. This makes it possible to realize downsizing, weight reduction and cost reduction of sockets.</p> |
