<p>PURPOSE: Structure for mounting a semi-trailing arm is provided to maintain toe-in force by reducing toe-out force through off setting moment transferred into a connecting rod from an outer arm. CONSTITUTION: Structure for installing a semi-trailing arm comprises a bracket(3) fixed on a chassis(2); an inner arm(21) mounted on the bracket; a rubber bush(23) arranged on the inner arm; an outer arm(22) having a bracket(24) on a front end; a connecting rod(26) engaging the inner arm and the outer arm; a ball joint(27) connected to an outer vertical end of the connecting rod; and an extending bar(28) extended from the chassis. Moment is generated by fin applied to the inner arm. The connecting rod engages a rubber bush(30) of the chassis through the bracket of the outer arm. Thereby, the structure for installing the semi-trailing arm maintains toe-in force by reducing toe-out force through the moment transferred into the connecting rod from the outer arm.</p> |
