摘要 PURPOSE: A system for allocating TCE(Traffic Channel Element) resources for high-speed data transmissions is provided to allocate available TCEs after searching a general call slot according to a rule, which allocates sub nodes of slots of general call channels requested in IS-95B. CONSTITUTION: An optimum algorithm searches a slot having a usable general call channel, according to an additional call channel request. The algorithm retrieves whether an available TCE(Traffic Channel Element) exists in the searched slot, and allocates required additional call channels. If TCEs corresponding to the required additional call channels are not allocated, the algorithm searches a slot having a maximally-available TCE among other slots, and allocates the TCE. If an additional call channel request is generated, the algorithm searches a slot having general call channels, and retrieves the slot from a '0' sub node, then allocates an available resource as an additional call channel.
