摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically intercepting a light source by an optical reflection signal detection is provided to make optical signals, which is outputted from all optical amplifiers of each optical relay station, detect optical reflection signals reflected from an open optical connector or an open optical cable. CONSTITUTION: An optical coupler(100) separates optical signals reflected from optical lines, and outputs the separated optical signals. Detectors(830,860) detect strength of the optical signals, and convert the strength into strength of electrical signals. A controller(300) receives applied signals from the detectors(830,860), and controls an output of a light source, then controls entire devices. A pump laser(400) receives an electrical signal of the controller(300), and adds or subtracts an optical energy. A WDM(Wave Length Multiplexer)(500) mixes the optical energy with an optical signal applied from the light source. An EDFA(Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier)(600) amplifies the optical signal applied from the WDM(500). Directional couplers(700,900) transmit an output signal of the EDFA(600) to one direction.
