PURPOSE: A method for padding reference based image is provided to minimize a time delay by processing a repetition padding process of an object boundary macro block requiring a lot of calculation amount and time in pipeline. CONSTITUTION: A method for padding reference based image sequentially performs repetition horizontal and vertical padding for an object boundary macro block of all the macro blocks for recovered image signals in a macro block unit(S301) and performs a medium value padding for the macro blocks outside of the object(S305). If the repetition horizontal and vertical padding are completed, the padded macro block is used to construct a recovered object image. After the object image is constructed, all the macro blocks for the constructed object image are scanned to perform an expansion padding for the object boundary macro block and macro blocks outside of a neighboring object. If the expansion padding is completed, the expandedly padded macro block is used to construct a reference image. |
