<p>Communications devices, such as personal digital assistants (PDAs) having radiotelephone communications capabilities, access and display information from an Internet server by scanning a bar coded or alphanumeric URL displayed in various media. A determination is made whether scanned information is a URL and then client-server communications may be established with the server identified by the URL. Information transmitted from the server is displayed on the PDA via a browser.</p> |
