PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure for connecting an optical fiber cable which permits wiring without exceeding the allowable bend radius of a coated optical fiber and is made to be small-sized and is densified. SOLUTION: This closure for connecting optical fiber cables is constituted in such a manner that a space between a tray 15 for connecting and storing the coated optical fibers and a clamping part 18 of tension members is reduced to the utmost, a space 20 for leading the coated fibers and fiber guides 21 and 22 are disposed under the tray 15 for connecting and storing the coated optical fibers, the coated optical fibers 23 from the optical fiber cable 19 are passed under the tray 15 for connecting and storing the coated optical fibers and, then, introduced into the tray 15.
