To promote folding on a continuous transverse line (19) passing right across the rear window (18), spring belts (8,9) act outwardly (21,23) at both sides. They have upper attachments to at least temporarily fixed parts of the bodywork e.g. the roof cassette (14), and lower attachments to a lower roof frame or hoop (12) of the rear section (6).
