The invention relates to a method for controlling a machine (1,1') which dispenses goods and the charging of goods thus dispensed. Said machine (1,1') has a GSM module and can be called at an abbreviated mobile telephone number allocated to said machine by a customer using a mobile telephone (7). The customer is requested by the machine(1,1') to select goods and an invoice is issued for settlement once the goods have been dispensed. Verification occurs for customers with pre-paid accounts before the goods are dispensed.
