A chromatograph is provided for facilitating curve fitting by means of the nonlinear least-square method for a chromatogram that contains two or more overlapping peaks. A chromatographic data processing device processes the chromatogram data obtained by detecting the samples separated by a column. For each of the peaks that overlap one another in a chromatogram, a fitting process is applied in chronological or reverse chronological order in a given time region where two or more peaks exist, and the processed peaks are subtracted from the chromatogram in the time region so that those peaks can be separate. Thus, when a chromatogram contains a plurality of overlapping peaks, particularly three or more overlapping peaks, they can easily be separate only by defining some setting conditions.
