A method of topical scar treatment or prophylaxis using a medical applicator and/or packaging device for the topical application of a fluid gel topical scar therapy agent characterised in that the agent comprises a composition comprising 1-25 wt% of a silicone gum, 1-40 wt% of a silicone fluid having a viscosity of 10 to 60,000 mm<2>/sec, 1-35 wt% of a silicone wax and 1-90 wt% of a volatile silicone fluid having a viscosity up to and including 5 mm<2>/s at 25 DEG C, and the medical applicator and/or packaging device for the topical application of a fluid gel topical scar therapy agent.
