A sensor for measuring angular displacement of a small body comprising a sealed housing containing a differential transformer having at least two primary coils (17, 18), one primary (67) and two secondary coils (65, 66), or two primary (27, 28) and two secondary coils (25, 29), said coils being partially submerged in a ferromagnetic fluid. The level of fluid relative to the coils will vary as the sensor is tilted. When AC current is applied to at least the primary coils of the transformer, the voltage across the circuit defined by the two primary coils or the two secondary coils is indicative of the angle of tilt of the sensor and the body to which it is attached. |
