Protection circuit for at least one capacitive actuator esp. for combustion engine fuel-injection valve

A protection circuit for at least one capacitive actuator e.g a piezo-actuator, (P1 to Pn) especially for a fuel injection valve, protects the actuator against damage from a short-circuit. A current-limiting element (L,R) or a current-limiting circuit (S) is arranged at least in the discharge circuit of the capacitive actuator (P1 to Pn). The current-limiting element (L) is specifically connected in series with the actuator and is designed as a storage choke or a part separated from the remaining part of the storage choke.
