A monitor camera device capable of recording the history of the operations of a complex camera to keep important information for use in repairing. A monitor camera device comprises storage means (47) consisting of rewritable nonvolatile memory for recording the operation history of a monitor camera. Important information for use in repairing the camera is obtained by recording any of automatic panning time, power-on time, the temperature inside the camera device, the number of presets, the number of changes of filters and the number of resets of a coordinate system.
