The aluminum heat exchanger with a soldered connecting area has a core area comprising several pairs of first and second plates (1,2) laminated and soldered with one another. Each first and second plate is formed by a core component consisting of a solder filling metal layer formed on the surface of the core component. A corrosion-proof layer is formed on the other surface of the core component. For formation of a pair from the first and second plates, the first plate is formed with a convex area with an opening area. An edging area of the second plate is inserted in the opening area and is so plastically deformed that the corrosion-proof layer of the second plate, the solder filling metal layer of the first plate are i close contact. The first and second plates are then soldered to each other.
