MULTI-DIMENSIONAL BARCODE AND APPARATUS FOR READING A MULTI-DIMENSIONAL BARCODE

Two-dimensional barcodes of different colors are printed on top of each other to produce a multi-dimensional barcode with increased information content. One or more of the barcodes may be printed invisible to the naked eye, so that special equipment is needed to decode the information. An apparatus for reading the multi-dimensional barcode has an array of filters or the like for distinguishing the colors, and preferably includes means for information decoding.
