A specific amine compound having an m-terphenyl group; an organic electroluminescence element (organic EL element) which comprises an organic luminescent layer pinched between a pair of electrodes and contains the specific amine compound; and an organic EL element which comprises an organic luminescent layer pinched between a pair of electrodes, and contains the specific amine compound and an aromatic compound having a specific styryl group. The amine compound is a novel amine compound which is capable of exhibiting good thermal resistance when used as a constituting material of an organic EL element, and the above-mentioned organic EL elements are an organic EL element using the amine compound and the one having more excellent luminance brightness and luminance life.
