RAPID INFUSION SYSTEM

A rapid infusion system (100) for the intravenous delivery of fluids at standard and rapid flow rates. The system (100) includes a pump assembly (300), a drive assembly (200) to power the pump (300) and a fluid containment system (400) that keeps the infused fluid out of direct contact with the pump assembly (300) and that is preferably disposable and removable. In one embodiment the drive assembly (200) includes a differential drive that interacts with more than one motor (280/295).
