PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to improve cooling efficiency for a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) in a control panel and other components by preparing a panel housing with inlet ports and outlet ports and a grille member. CONSTITUTION: A wall mounted microwave oven is composed of an outer casing(1), a lower casing(3) combined to the lower end of the outer casing, and a body casing(2) combined to the outer casing and the lower casing to form a cooking chamber(10) and component chambers(15a,15b). A grille member(30) with suction ports is attached to the front of a ventilation part formed between the upper face of the outer casing and the body casing. A panel housing(26) having inlet ports(27) and outlet ports(29) and receiving a PCB is installed in a door wherein a control panel is formed. Additionally, a rib type guide(28) is formed around the circumference of the outlet port to keep airtightness between the suction ports and the panel housing. Herein, the PCB and other components in the component chambers are cooled by the external air flowing in through the inlet ports of the panel housing via a blower fan(21). After passing through the suction ports of the grille member, the air cools a magnetron(16) with the external air flowing through the grille member via the blower fan. Finally, the air flows into the cooking chamber. As the PCB and the components are cooled effectively by the external air, life span of the components is lengthened and mis-operation due to overheating is prevented.
