摘要 PURPOSE: A method for forming a fluorescent layer of a cathode ray tube is provided to improve the color purity of fluorescent pixels by reducing an expanding effect of an aluminum layer. CONSTITUTION: A black matrix, a fluorescent material, and a metal reflection layer are formed sequentially on an inside of a panel divided by an available portion(35') of a screen for realizing a picture image and an unavailable portion(35) of the screen. The black matrix absorbs an external light. The fluorescent material is formed with fluorescent material of red/green/blue colors. The fluorescent material forms pixels on the available portion(35) of the panel. The fluorescent material is formed on an area including the unavailable portion(35) of the panel The fluorescent material is patterned by an exposure mask.
