PURPOSE: A semiconductor memory device is provided to reduce chip size, to improve operation speed, and to prevent current concentration of the device. CONSTITUTION: In the semiconductor memory device, a cross area(23) is formed by a S/A block(24) and a SWD block(not shown). A S/A pull-up driver(21) and a S/A pull-down driver(22) dispersedly locate in the S/A block(24). A S/A pre driver(25) dispersedly locates in the cross area(23). According to the device, the cross area(23) can be effectively reduced so that the chip size is reduced, and speed for sensing start can be improved. The S/A pull-up driver(21), S/A pull-down driver(22) and S/A pre driver(25) dispersedly locate so that current concentration of the device can be prevented.
