FLOW DISTRIBUTION APPARATUS FOR HEAT PUMP

PURPOSE: A flow distribution apparatus for heat pump is provided to obtain a sufficient amount of heat required for cooling and heating operation by smoothly operating a refrigerant distributor. CONSTITUTION: A flow distribution apparatus comprises a bypass pipe(3) having an end connected between a compressor(1) and an indoor side heat exchanger(2) and which by-passes the high temperature high pressure refrigerant discharged from the outlet side of the compressor; a pressure reduction member(4) mounted to the bypass pipe and which reduces the high pressure of the refrigerant to a medium level pressure; and a distributor(7) having a plurality of branch pipes for distributing the refrigerant supplied from an expansion unit(6) into an outdoor side heat exchanger(5). The bypass pipe has the other end connected to one of branch pipes which has an open/shut-off unit. The open/shut-of unit includes a fixation pipe installed to be perpendicular to one of branch pipes and connected to the other end of the bypass pipe, and a movable member mounted within the fixation pipe and which opens/shuts off the branch pipe in accordance with the pressure of the refrigerant passed the pressure reduction member through a penetrating hole communicated to the branch pipe.
