<p>Compounds represented by general formula (I), salts thereof, or hydrates of both, useful as excellent squalene synthase inhibitors wherein R1 is hydrogen or hydroxyl; HAr is an optionally substituted aromatic heterocycle; Ar is an optionally substituted aromatic ring; W is (1) a -CH¿2?-CH2- group which may be substituted, (2) a -CH=CH- group which may be substituted, (3) -C C-, (4) -NH-CO-, or the like; and X is a single bond, optionally substituted C1-6 alkylene, (5) -Q- [wherein Q is oxygen, sulfur, CO, or N(R?2¿) (wherein R2 is C¿1-6? alkyl or C1-6 alkoxy)], (6) -NH-CO-, or the like.</p> |
