The dishwasher has a changeover device for each liquid outlet with an individual valve pin with a valve body whose movement into the closed position is controlled by a compression spring made of a shape memory alloy that changes its shape under heating. The dishwasher has a washing container for accommodating washing items, at least two sprayers for subjecting the washing items to liquid delivered by a circulating pump, a changeover device (14) with a liquid inlet and liquid outlets (17,18) connected to the sprayers (5,6) and at least one valve body that can be moved to a closed position for closing the liquid outlet. The changeover device for each outlet has an individual valve pin (19,20) with a valve body whose movement into the closed position is controlled by a compression spring (22,23) made of a shape memory alloy that changes its shape under heating.
