PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth presser elevating device capable of operating the elevation height of the cloth presser to a desirable height in multiple stages without requiring parts such as a complicated link mechanism for controlling a driving means for elevating the cloth presser. SOLUTION: The elevation height of a cloth presser 18 can be operated to a desirable height in multiple stages in response to the number of operation of an operating pedal 50 by a driving means 20 for elevating the cloth presser 18 and a control means 60 connected to the operating pedal 50 for operating the elevation of the cloth presser 18 and for controlling the drive of the driving means 20.
