PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improving machine capable of sufficiently mixing clay-like earth with a soil improver to provide improved soil recyclable as back filing material or roadbed material. SOLUTION: This soil improving machine comprises a mixer 22 having a soil cutter 32 and an impact hammer 33 provided within a housing 31 to crushing and mixing raw material earth with a soil improver to provide improved soil and an improved soil carrying device 30 for carrying the improved soil. In this machine, the soil cutter 32 is formed of a drum 45 and a cutter 46 mounted thereon, and the cutter 46 is set adjacently to the endless belt 36 of a raw material earth carrying device 27 to minimize the space between the endless belt 36 and the drum 45, so that masses of large grain size of the raw material earth do not pass between the drum 45 and the endless belt 36. According to this, since the large grain size masses are not fallen and supplied to the impact hammer 33, the raw material earth is crushed into masses of small grain size by the impact hammer 33 so that the soil improver can be sufficiently mixed with and penetrated to the raw material earth to provide improved soil recyclable as back filling material or roadbed material.
