PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a joint device for a ceiling capable of absorbing the quakes of left-right buildings even when the buildings are quaked largely in the different horizontal directions and longitudinal directions and capable of being used even when the ceiling joint section of a vibration isolation building or the like is covered. SOLUTION: In the joint device for the ceiling with a joint cover for the ceiling being capable of supporting the ceiling joint sections of left-right buildings constructed through the joint sections so as to upwards push the ceiling joint sections in the case of quakes, by which the ceiling joint sections are narrowed, and being installed to at least two or more of supporting metal fittings and covering the ceiling joint sections, the joint cover for the ceiling is composed of joint covers for split ceilings being capable of being slid in the longitudinal direction and being split into at least two or more while the joint covers for the split ceilings can be supported slidably in the longitudinal direction respectively in at least two or more of the supporting metal fittings and the joint device for the ceiling is configured.
