PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing method in which print mode is switched between a color document and a monochromatic document and even a mixed document can be printed in a short time through especially efficient printing. SOLUTION: In case of a mixed print data, print data of the other print mode is stored in a storage means when print data of one print mode is printed. After print data in the same job is printed, switching is made to the other print mode and the print data of the other print mode is printed. According to the arrangement, the number of switching times of print mode is decreased and high speed printing is realized. |
