<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for an air bag device angle which avoids the collision against a windshield by smoothly and rotationally moving the lid and controlling the rotational movement, and which secures the safety of an occupant by preventing the broken pieces of the lid from dispersing, and to provide an instrument panel using it. SOLUTION: This plate-shaped lid 2 for an air bag device is provided on an instrument panel 1 arranged as covering over the opening part of an air bag storage part. The lid 2 is provided with a body part 17, a support fixing part 18, and a hinge part 20, or a surface grooved part 19 in a boundary part between the body part 17 and the support fixing part 18 so that the body part 17 is rotationally moved about the hinge part 20 in developing the air bag 3, at least, a pair of compression ribs 23, 23 are spaced in the surface grooved part 19 of the hinge part 20 and provided in such a state as abutting thereon.</p> |
