PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier film useful for filling and packaging various type articles such as, for example, eating and drinking articles, a medicine, cosmetics, a chemical article, an electronic component, or the like and having excellent adhesive properties of a polyamide resin film and a vapor-deposited film of an inorganic oxide, excellent transparency, barrier properties for an oxygen gas, a steam or the like, excellent posttreating suitability such as printing processing suitability, laminating suitability, bag making suitability or the like and a laminate material using it. SOLUTION: The barrier film comprises a plasma treated surface by a nitrogen gas provided on a surface of a polyamide resin film, and a vapor-deposited film of an inorganic oxide provided on the plasma treated surface. The laminate material uses the barrier film.
