PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underfloor storage chamber having an auxiliary opening device to lift a lid from the closing position to be slightly opened in which the sufficiently effective height of a storage space can be ensured, and a tall article can be stored. SOLUTION: A frame body 10 is fitted in an opening part formed in a floor plate, the frame body 10 is provided with a vertically turnable lid to open/close the opening part, a storage space 60 is formed from a lower part of the opening part to a lower part of the floor plate, an auxiliary opening device 23 comprises an elevating/lowering lifting member 24 to lift the lid in the closed position from a lower part, and an elevating/lowering drive 25 to elevate/lower the lifting member 24, the lifting member 24 is separated by the elevating/lowering drive 25 while lowered and retracted to both retraction parts 29a and 29b in a horizontally bending manner, and fed upward in the longitudinal direction from the retraction parts 29a and 29b.
