摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and system for controlling a friction welding apparatus using a servo motor which is simple in structure, low in cost, higher in product quality and finishing precision. SOLUTION: In a friction welding apparatus comprising a first servo motor 1, a second servo motor 2 and first and second servo motor control devices 3 and 4 corresponding thereto, the relationship between the position and the output torque of the first servo motor to be detected by the first servo motor control device from moment to moment and the number of revolution of the second servo motor is operated by a computing element 27 of the second servo motor control device, and the speed of the second servo motor is controlled to achieve the welding by controlling the temperature of a friction surface and the shape of burrs. By correlatively controlling the position, the torque and the speed of two servo motors, the temperature of the friction surface, the condition of burrs, and the meandering margin can be controlled with excellent accuracy, and the high product quality and finishing accuracy can be obtained with a simple structure and at a low cost.
