PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of coping with the autoclave sterilization and preventing a check valve function from getting out of order when soaked in a disinfection liquid. SOLUTION: A communicating tube 31 with a vent mouthpiece 9 protrudes on a partition wall of a connector body 7 which forms a space 30 communicating with the inside of a soft inserting part of this endoscope water-tightly. A check valve element 34 is disposed at the base end of the communicating pipe 31, and an open/close valve element 35 to be set in the close condition when the endoscope is soaked in a disinfection liquid is disposed outside the check valve element 34 to prevent a failure of the check valve element 34. In addition, in the negative pressure process of the autoclave sterilization, by attaching a releasing cap 8 to the vent mouthpiece 9 and rotating the cap 8, the open/close valve element 35 is moved to the upper part together with a pressing member 38 so that the open/close valve element 35 is made to function in the open condition and the check valve element 34 is made to function as a check valve. Therefore, as air in the inner space is emitted in the negative pressure process, damage to an outer tube of a curved part can be prevented.
