PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cadmium-free hard brazing filler alloy. SOLUTION: The alloy includes 45 to 75 mass % Ag, 10 to 30 mass % Cu, <=20 mass % Ga, 1 to 25 mass % Zn, <=6 mass % Sn and/or In, 0.1 to 8 mass % Mn or 0.1 to 3 mass % Si and/or Ge, and <=5 mass % in total of other alloy components depending on cases. Thus the brazing filler alloy is effective in particular on the brazing of hard alloys due to its low working temperature and excellent wettability.
