PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a water quality improving treatment method to a method not using a conventional shell fossil treatment substance but using a granite porphyry product. SOLUTION: In this water quality improving treatment method and its treating substance, the treating substance consists essentially of a treating substance which is obtained by peeluerizing and purifying natural granite porphyry containing mainly silicic acid anhydride and aluminum oxide, and the treating substance is sprayed to water to be treated for improvement of water quality and mixed with the water and physical and chemical works such as adsorption and ion exchange are accelerated in parallel and also aggregation and precipitation are rapidly performed.
