PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite ceramic material capable of easily being worked into a product having thin thickness and a shape that can freely be selected from a wide variety of shapes. SOLUTION: The production process of this composite ceramic material comprises, coating and impregnating a piece of cloth which consists of alumina- silica filament fiber containing a >=80 wt.% mullite component, with a pasty matrix starting material prepared so that it consists essentially of alumina-silica, and drying the resulting material. |
