PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable biocide composition which contains a constant combination of an imidazolidine compound with a 3-isothiazolone compound and a copper salt in a low concentration for the stabilization. SOLUTION: This stable biocide composition comprises at least one formaldehyde-releasing imidazolidine compound; at least one 3-isothiazolone compound; a stabilizing amount of a copper ion; and a solvent. The stable biocide composition is used against microorganisms in cooling towers, liquid systems for processing metals, paints, cosmetics, and so on.
