<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording liquid using a coloring matter having a color tone desirable for repeatability and excellent in image fastness such as light resistance, humidity resistance and the like, an ink jet recording method and a color toner. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording liquid comprises at least a coloring agent, which comprises at least one coloring matter having a reduction potential of -1,100 mV to -800 mV (SCE) selected among coloring matters represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each an alkyl group optionally substituted and R1 and R2 can be linked together to form a ring; R3, R4, R5 and R6 are each independently H, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group; and A and B are each a substituent group, provided that at least one of A and B can form a chelate with a metal ion-containing compound).</p> |
