PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the input torque calculation device for a transmission which can calculate the input torque to the transmission properly and responsively. SOLUTION: The target input shaft rotation speed (target Np) of a transmission by a target calculation means is calculated (S12) based on the detection result (θacc, V) of the acceleration indication detection means and car speed detection means for detecting the acceleration indication state to an internal combustion engine. An input shaft rotation speed change ratio (dNp/dt) is estimated (S14) based on the target input shaft rotation speed and present input shaft rotation speed by an inertia torque calculation means and the inertia torque (Ti) inputted to the transmission is calculated (S16) based on the estimation value of the input shaft rotation speed change ratio.
