PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plastered wall material capable of easily forming a good coated surface free from ruggedness and not causing cracking and dew condensation phenomenon after application and to apply the plastered wall material in such a way that it does not peel or fall off even after the lapse of a long period of time after application. SOLUTION: Powdery diatomaceous earth is mixed with proper quantities of cement and hide glue and the mixture is used as the objective plastered wall material. When the mixture is further mixed with a proper quantity of porous fine sand if necessary, the appliability and hygroscopicity are enhanced. White Portland cement is suitable for use as the cement and is optionally mixed with a proper quantity of silica sand. Fine sand is applied on the substrate of a plastered wall with a liquid adhesive and the plastered wall material is applied on the fine sand. |
