PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil excellent in thermal stability, hydrolysis stability, electrical insulation and lubricity. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil for refrigerating machines contains a 1,2- cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid diester of the general formula (I) (R1 and R2 are each a 3-11C branched alkyl, 3-10C cycloalkyl or 1-11C straight-chain alkyl) which is obtained by nuclear hydrogenation of the corresponding phthalic diester <=0.1 mgKOH/g in total acid value. |
