PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the work concerning the wiring processing of the cable of a detecting means to enhance the workability in assembling. SOLUTION: This device comprises a document reading carrying part 10 for carrying a sheet-like document and an operation part 40 that is a facing member fixed to the document reading carrying part 10, and the operation part 40 comprises a document edge sensor 2 for detecting a sheet carried by the document reading carrying part 10.
